Rules for Park Use

Groups may use the area for specified periods, provided they obtain prior approval from the McFarlane Committee Chair or Cobb Land Trust Board.  

• Call 678-860-4445 or 770-403-4837 to make reservations.
• Observe and follow posted rules on park sign.
• Do not disturb the caretaker family except for emergencies.
• Respect the surrounding neighborhood.
• Do not post signs on trees.
• Restroom facility will be unlocked for events.
• Children are to be under direct parental control at all times.
• Garden areas are to be undisturbed and protected.
• Fire only in the existing fire-pit, individual cook-stoves, or barbecues. Any fire to be continually monitored and adult supervised until it is completely extinguished.
• No excessive noise, especially after sundown. Depart by 10 P.M.
• Cleanup, "police the area" and take away all trash before departure.
• A signed liability release must be returned prior to the activity.

- Cleanup, police the area before leaving the premises and take away all trash. Trash must be removed after the event to accommodate groups scheduled after yours. Put food waste in your trash and remove it; do not dispose of it in the park. 

-Young children with direct parental control at all times. Example: Cub Scouts, Tiger Cubs, Brownies, Campfire Girls, Indian Guides, Webelos, Awana. 

- No adult camping except to supervise youth groups.

- Youth older than elementary school age (Scouts) must have parental supervision.

-Observe and follow posted rules on park sign. 

- Garden areas are to be undisturbed and protected. DO NOT CLIMB TREES. 

-Do not disturb the caretaker family except for emergencies.

-Restroom facility will be unlocked for your use; clean it after use.

-Tents to be located as far from surrounding homes as possible. Respect the surrounding neighborhood.

-Fire only in the existing fire pit or fireplace

Any fire to be continually monitored and adult supervised until it is completely extinguished. 

· Please note that Cobb County fire restrictions apply. Cobb County allows campfires limited to 3’ in diameter by 2’ high which must be extinguished by 10:30 PM. 

-No excessive noise after "sundown" and "lights out" by 10 P.M.

- The park is supported entirely through donations.

We suggest making a voluntary donation to help cover the expenses of the Park, since the Park receives no government support and is funded exclusively through donations.    Donations may be sent to:
