Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)

If you have to take Required Minimum Distributions (RMD), instead of paying income tax on it, you have another choice.

You can have a QCD sent by your financial institution directly to a charitable organization.  The donation does not appear as taxable income and you do not pay taxes on the amount donated.

Speak to your financial advisor about the benefits of giving this way to qualified organizations.
